SECURITY COMMITTEE NOTE: This last April, BVW & surrounding communities experienced a rash of vehicle burglaries. Multiple events were reported to our security company. Thanks to home videos, detailed reporting of the location with vehicle and perp descriptions, and the approximate time the thefts took place, we were able to involve HPD through Council Member Pollard’s office for extra police visibility that effectively shut it down. Combined with Armed Security on Bikes, the incidents dropped to one in May.
