Meet The Board
Your HOA Board consists of 7 volunteer residents, committed to overseeing the financial, safety matters along with spearheading community improvements of value to our residents:

Claudia Hernandez, President
Claudia has lived in Braeburn Valley West since 2007. She joined the board over 8 years ago, and more recently stepped into the role of President in June 2024. She is a Career Investigator for the State of Texas with 9 years in Public School work, and 15 years experience in Child Protective Services.
As a board member, Claudia strives to foster an environment where residents come together to improve the look, feel an desirability of the community. Additionally, she would like to see more community participation in events, along with volunteers for bayou clean-up and promotion of our craftsmen and professionals.

Pat Dorsey, Vice President Parks & Landscaping Committee
Pat has lived in Braeburn Valley West since 1991 and has been on the board for at least half that time. She is a very active member of the community, and oversees the park and esplanades. Recent projects include updating the playground equipment and basketball court, and updating the Willow Meadow & Plainfield esplanades using native plants. She is currently researching options for a nature play area for our younger residents, and is always on the lookout for volunteers (activate link). Also a very active community member, Pat is often seen at local civic meetings for local and regional associations. Currently, she is employed as a sociology lecturer at the University of Houston.

Rodney Clements, Treasurer A 40 year resident of Braeburn Valley West, Rodney joined the Board in November 2014.

Sally Bercu, Board Member Deed Restrictions Committee
A 47 year resident of Braeburn Valley West, Sally has been an active Board member since 2016. She is a retired Speech Language Pathologist, who now enjoys her passion for traveling and developing her family memoirs with her husband. Her goal is to foster a more informed and engaged community. |

Angel Morin, Secretary Angel joined the board in 2009 and now serves as Secretary. He and his family moved to the neighborhood in 1989, working as an educator/administrator for the Houston Independent School District, Region IV Education Service Center, and Fort Bend Independent School District. While he still works part-time in the Houston Independent School District, his spare time is filled with camping, hiking and hanging out with grandchildren and family.
As a Board member Angel would like to see our neighborhood continue to flourish and thrive on the pride residents have for their homes and properties. “We live in a terrific neighborhood with a "melting pot" of residents from many cultures. Let us cultivate each other's strengths and talents to form an even stronger community that we can all enjoy!”

Jenn Dewhirst, Board Member Committee Chair, Social Media, Website & Events
A 30-year career educator, Jenn moved to Braeburn Valley West in 2007 and has served on the Board for over 7 years. She is currently employed at KIPP Texas Public Schools, serving as a Postsecondary Transition Advisor to recently graduated students.
Her passion for Braeburn Valley West is to have a community where all residents feel safe and proud and have their voices heard.
Jenn's committee responsibilities include annual Community Events such as National Night Out (October) and July 4th Celebrations, along with overseeing neighborhood social media efforts and the website. Volunteers are always welcome - click here to join.

Vivek Reddy, Member-at-large Our newest board member joined in February 2024. He has lived in Braeburn Valley West for 2.5 years, and is currently employed in the oil/gas trading sector. Hobbies and interest include books, cats, travel and food and a vision to build a more engaged and active community with loads of community events (block parties, community get-togethers). |

DeAnthony Anderson, Property Manager A Houston native and the eldest of 8 children, DeAnthony is the newest member of BVWCA's Sterling Management team. His 2 years in HOA experience combined with 12+ years in customer service has trained him to provide stellar service when assisting homeowners while also being empathic and encouraging. In his downtime, DeAnthony enjoys spending time with family, eating, and binge watching true crime.
